Last night at an amazing retirement event hosted by TECK at the Picnic
restaurant, I was not only humbled by the turnout and the people but also by
an amazing gift from TECK. This gift came in two forms. Firstly, a
beautiful gold Tiffany necklace that will always remind me of the amazing
people at TECK and all the support, belief and encouragement that came from
the company throughout our 13 year relationship. Secondly, I was gobsmacked
by the incredible donation of $50,000 to the EBYF. This is a true gift to
me and my legacy. The fact that TECK supports more than just my athletic
ambitions but also my passion and vision for the Emily Brydon Youth
Foundation is a true testament of the character of TECK. TECK is family and
within that family they truly value their communities, athletes, employees
and friends. It is a company that believed in me for over a decade and
through this amazing act of kindness their legacy will be entwined with mine
at the EBYF for many years to come.
